Baseline Clearance Required
Provide technical design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large and complex applications;
Provide coding, unit testing and maintaining complex SharePoint applications and components;
Participate in the design and development of technical changes that meet business requirements while being aligned with Enterprise Architecture artefacts;
Provide application development in line with Departmental standards and methodologies;
Develop and maintain system design documentation;
Provide database design and development;
Provide contributions to architectural issues;
Mentor junior team members;
Provide troubleshooting to production issues and incidents;
Provide development effort estimates for changes to existing applications and new applications;
Provide Code Review and other Quality Assurance tasks for projects and for code delivered by the Section;
Liaise with business analysts, testers and other stakeholders to efficiently deliver high quality work;
Provide defect management including: triage of defects to determine priorities and defect fix implementation; analysis and identification of the root causes contributing to incidents and problems; and
Transfer technical knowledge and skills to other staff.
You will be responsible for developing and reviewing artefacts such as:
Technical Specifications;
Technical design and matrix;
Architectural documents;
System Design Specifications;
Work flows, events and sequence diagrams;
Environment Context Definitions;
Deployment plans;
Other documentation as requested
Minimum 5+ years SharePoint development experience;
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in configuring and developing solutions in SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016;
Demonstrated experience in .NET, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, web services and web based solutions including frontend development experience with CSS and HTML5;
Demonstrated proficiency and experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle;
Demonstrated proficiency in analysis, design and development;
Ability to work as a member of a development team and with business areas;
Ability to work autonomously and to provide technical expertise;
Ability to mentor junior developers;
Ability to write and design documentation and other project artefacts;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Specified Personnel must hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA) or be willing to undergo and obtain an AGSVA clearance (Baseline clearance as a minimum);
Specified Personnel must be willing to undergo and obtain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC);
Experience working within government agencies;
Understanding of the Accessibility, Usability standards including WCAG, WAI-ARIA & Semantic HTML;
Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server;
Experience with SQL.
