Job Description
This job role profile describes the indicative tasks and responsibilities for the Acquisition Projects Major Service Provider (MSP) Lead. The Acquisition Projects MSP Lead shall work within the Acquisitions Projects CIED Unit's Program Management Office and has the management responsibilities of the PMO and Phase 4 capability elements; coordinating and prioritising their work as per the MSP contract. They will maintain the commercial relationship with the Commonwealth ensuring the MSP team delivers quality and timely services and products.
This required services for this position may include, but are not limited to:
Report and liaise with all capability element PM's;
CIED Deputy Program Manager and CIED Project Director;
Develop, manage and deliver MSP Work packages Manage MSP resourcing
Manage MSP IWP's (CCPs etc.); and
Provide Project Management advice as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Project management qualifications (such as registered Project Managers under AIPM), a degree in a relevant discipline, relevant practical project management experience, practical knowledge of the application of PRINCE2®, PMBOK, and/or Project Management Methodology Version 2 (PMMv2) in the CASG environment. Knowledge of the government approval process as well as a solid understanding of Foreign Military Sales processes and procedures will also be advantageous.
Skill Level The role is minimum skill Level 2 (Practitioner) or Level 3 (Advanced Practitioner)
