  • Contract to 30th June 2019 with the intention to extend for a further 12 months

The Department is embarking on a major project to modernise its service delivery to employees and the community. You will help shape the approach that will transform how enquiries and transactions can be managed, leading to improved service delivery for customers and self-service opportunities.

You must be an Australian Citizen to apply and preference will be given to applicants who hold a Baseline clearance or higher. A current AFP National Police Certificate (less than 12 months old) will be required prior to commencement.

Essential skills and experience

  • At least five years of experience working in large-scale agile and/or waterfall ICT and/or business led projects

  • Demonstrated experience in development or implementation of customer contact channels such as but not limited to CRM, bots, knowledge management systems/infrastructure, web chat

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills including documenting high and detailed level business requirements; and producing artefacts incorporating process modelling techniques, wireframes, use cases and user stories

  • Demonstrated experience in master data management and/or data security and/or knowledge of data frameworks and/or SQL and/or data migration and integration.


  • Knowledge and/or experience of call centre operations and/or technologies

  • Demonstrated communication skills and experience managing sensitive stakeholder groups to foster a productive working environment

  • Assist business areas and testing services as required during testing and UAT
