Job Description
The Cost Modeller shall be responsible for all cost estimation and validation services for all relevant projects, as well as assisting with the development of budgets and cost models. The cost models shall be developed and managed in accordance with the relevant Australian International Standards, regulations, and Defence requirements.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
The Cost Modeller must have a recognised cost-analysis qualification with current and relevant cost estimation, cost investigation and cost validation experience including knowledge of what is required within the Government approval process.
The role is minimum skill Level 3 (Advanced Practitioner).
The key tasks of the role may include, but are not limited to:
Develop accurate cost models;
Prepare cost estimates;
Conduct review of cost estimates;
Assess the risk level inherent in cost estimate developed and/or reviewed;
Present estimates to independent reviewers and high-level decision-makers
Provide advice on the applicability of different cost estimating techniques for the different capability elements which are all at various stages in the life cycle;
Engage with Commonwealth project team members as and when required; and
Develop and maintain the individual capability elements into a cost model for government approval requirements.
