  • 12 Month Contract to 30 June 2020 ( with an option to extend by 2 x 12 months at DFAT's discretion)

ROLE DESCRIPTION


The Infrastructure Support/Architect will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience to provide the services; as follows:

  • Plan, design, implement and provide 3rd level support of DFAT’s ICT infrastructure and environments in support of the Australian Passport Office’s (APO) BAU and project requirements;

  • Develop and/or provide input into ICT road maps, architecture, high-level and detailed designs for the APO’s ICT infrastructure and environments in support of existing and new passport systems;

  • Liaise with other teams and stakeholders to design, implement and maintain infrastructure and Development, Test and Production environments;

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation relating to infrastructure and environment design and implementation;

  • Willingness to participate on an after hours on call roster;

  • Demonstrate experience and high level skills with several of the following software and environments desirable: Windows 2012 R2 Server; Administration; VmWare virtualisation services; SCCM; SCOM; EMC SAN Technologies; EMC Avamar; CISCO UCS; Nutanix hyper converged hardware; Web Services; SQL Server; Enterprise Service Bus; Networking / Firewalls; Powershell/DSC; F5 load balancers; Team Foundation Server
