Multiple Program Managers & Project Managers | Canberra

Location: Canberra | Department of Agriculture, Water & the Environment

Contract Term: 1 Sept 2021 to 30 June 2022 (& 2 x 12 month extension options)

OVERVIEW

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment require four (4) Project Managers, three (3) Program Managers and one (1) ICT Project Manager.


Responsibilities and Skills Required:


PROGRAM MANAGERS (x3)

  • 10+ years Project/Program Management experience

  • Proven success in management and delivery of an ICT Program or multiple projects, with the ability to adapt to, and work across agile and waterfall methodologies;

  • Proven experience in working and delivering in a large enterprise scale ICT Program environment

  • SAFe Agile experience

  • Experience in identifying and mapping Program interdependencies and liaising with stakeholders to support requirements

  • Experience in drafting High level Board papers for the SES level with a high attention to detail

  • Working knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes and ability to apply the process to the outcome

  • Strong organisational and communication skills to present information and communicate expectations in an environment with competing requirements/workloads;

  • Strategic oversight of the Program and assessment of alignment to business and IT objectives;

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders and partners, including senior executives, to plan and manage programs and projects with a focus on successful delivery to meet scope, schedule and budget requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with the relevant governance arrangements associated with ICT projects in the department.

  • Facilitate procurement requirements as needed.

PROJECT MANAGERS (x4)

  • Proven experience in the successful management and delivery of technology related projects, with the ability to adapt to, and work across agile and waterfall methodologies;

  • Proven experience in managing large corporate ICT transformation programs.

  • Experience in managing highly technical teams and partnering with multiple vendors to achieve a combined outcome.

  • Proven experience in delivering high risk outcomes under tight timeframes

  • Able to prepare reports, artefacts and documentation for Project Boards, Senior Executives, or other Governance bodies, with a focus on ‘no surprises’ program and project management.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills to present information and communicate expectations in an environment with competing requirements/workloads;

  • Experience working in Federal Government agencies, tertiary project management qualifications and certifications will be highly regarded.

  • Demonstrate personal resilience and flexibility to deal with ambiguity, conflicting priorities and a challenging environment.

  • Ability to work under pressure with close attention to detail, organise priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders and partners, including senior executives, to plan and manage projects with a focus on successful delivery to meet scope, schedule and budget requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with the relevant governance arrangements associated with ICT projects in the department; including liaising and working with the ISD PMO.

  • Manage and report on risks, issues and dependencies.

ict PROJECT MANAGER

  • Proven experience in the successful management and delivery of technology related projects, with the ability to adapt to, and work across agile and waterfall methodologies;

  • Proven experience in managing large corporate ICT transformation programs.

  • Experience in executing the role of a Scrum Master.

  • Experience in managing highly technical teams and partnering with multiple vendors to achieve a combined outcome.

  • Proven experience in delivering high risk outcomes under tight timeframes

  • Proven experience in managing large corporate ICT transformation programs.
