The Department of Education and Training is seeking an experienced IT project manager to work in a small team and assist with the coordination and delivery of a new online service for non-government schools.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage the planning, implementation and successful delivery of the Schools Hub project;
Project governance, scheduling and reporting as required by the Department project board operating under the PRINCE2 framework;
Manage project risks, issues, budget, and schedule;
Analysing and managing requests from internal business stakeholders;
Analysing and managing project performance against stakeholder expectations, timeframes and budget;
Understanding, managing and communicating between stakeholder groups, balancing priorities and escalating as appropriate; and
Development of project documentation with little supervision.
At least 5 years working as a Project Manager with demonstrated experience in planning, managing and executing large-scale software projects.
Ability to work with multiple business and technical stakeholders to ensure the system is fit for purpose.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under tight timeframes in a complex environment.
Demonstrated skills in using project management tools to support large-scale systems development.
