Overview of the Task
Simulation is a foundation training system of the Land Training Capability. Live, Virtual and Constructive simulation capabilities are utilised to support training within the Australian Army. The use of simulation and simulators in the Land Training environment is rapidly increasing with the development of new capabilities and the adoption of more efficient and effective methods of training.
Army’s Simulation Capability Manager and Sponsor, the Director Land Training Capability (DLTC), is responsible for the planning, management, analysis and validation of simulation capabilities within Army and the provision of Army’s simulation policy and governance.
The DLTC Systems Engineer will be working within the Land Capability Division and will have the following attributes:
Engineering experience in simulation and simulation architecture
Engineering experience in simulation architecture
A knowledge of the Defence organisation, specifically the Land Domain
Demonstrated experience in working with multiple and diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in working with senior leadership
Ability to work unsupervised to a strategic intent
Experience in developing solutions to meet training requirements
Experience in developing documentation in the Concepts and Requirements phases of the CLC
Knowledge of the Army Training System
