PROJECT SUPPORT OFFICER | DEFENCE | Canberra

OVERVIEW


A Project Support Officer is required to work within the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) to support the program and provide administrative support for a range of projects with diverse stakeholders.


Key knowledge or experience required include:

  • Assisting with program and project planning, and drafting of program artefacts.

  • Coordinating program reporting and preparing program management dashboards, reporting processes and artefacts.

  • Assisting with general administrative tasks to define and maintain registers, access controls and quality processes.

  • Record management of program artefacts ensuring all program artefacts are entered into the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).

  • Maintaining program and project risk register(s), including scheduling regular reviews and updates; and facilitating risk meetings.

  • Investigate issues of medium complexity and produce related briefs for SES officer consumption.

  • Preparation of governance packs for program and project boards and conduct as board secretariat.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Visio) which is necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports for the various areas.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to employ a variety of tailored communication skills (verbal and written.


SELECTION CRITERIA


eSSENTIAL

  1. Demonstrated experience supporting a program or project by providing a cross program view on risk, change, quality, finance and configuration management.

  2. Experience in assisting programs and projects with risk, governance and assurance activities.

  3. Knowledge of Project and Program Management methodologies, including MSP, Prince2, Prince2 Agile and SAFE.

DESIRABLE

  1. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven history of working in complex Defence or Government programs or projects contributing to organisational capability.

  2. Experience with the Defence desktop environment and associated applications including the Microsoft Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project), Objective and JIRA.
