Job Description
The Program Support Officer (PSO) is part of the Projects Program Management Office (PMO) and shall assist with the establishment of the strategic framework for the area's project.
They will liaise directly with Stakeholders including, but not limited to, Sponsor/Capability Manager, Program Director/Manager, Project Manager(s) and project teams.
They will undertake complex activities and tasks, require lateral and strategic thinking in the development of program documentation. The PSO will undertake various activities involving differing, unrelated and established processes and methodologies. They will understand business, and how to plan and conduct assurance activities.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Have relevant tertiary qualifications or experience that demonstrates strong writing skills and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience writing Strategic, Program, Project and Governance Documentation;
Have a working knowledge and experience in the development or facilitation of collaborative agreements, MOU's or program agreements between the CoA and other nations, preferably the USA;
Have a good understanding of the Capability Life Cycle;
Have an understanding of the Defence Environment; and
It will be desirable to have experience within the CASG Land.
The role is minimum skill Level 2 (Practioner) or Level 3 (Advanced Practitioner).
The key tasks of the role may include, but are not limited to:
Analysis of the CIED Unit capability elements;
Liaise with stakeholders to understand the different capabilities;
Conduct workshops in relation to development of strategic documentation with stakeholders;
Develop program execution, governance and framework documents; and
Other supporting documentation as required.
