Job Description
As the Head of Agile Delivery, you will champion Agile ways of working across the DTA, and partner agencies. Your role will provide Agile coaching to our teams, focusing on behaviours, mindset and practices, in line with the Digital Service Standard and industry best practices.
A key outcome is refining our internal Agile processes, as well as supporting the successful transformation from traditional project delivery to iterative service delivery.
You will provide advice and guidance at branch level and more broadly across the DTA in relation to Agile Delivery and have a collaborative approach to providing mentoring, coaching, and training.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Proven ability to be methodology agnostic with extensive knowledge and experience in Agile and Lean principles and practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban etc) with a focus on leveraging the right approach for the problem at hand
Proven experience with agile delivery tools to support product teams, recommending the right tools for the maturity of the team and product development
Proven experience working within an Agile management environment and working across organisational boundaries and physical locations to deliver services and product outcomes
Proven experience using both coaching and consulting approaches for teams as appropriate.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of the methodology used by the DTA, familiarity with the research and design community within DTA and the APS
Experience presenting to public sector and industry forums on Agile topics
Experience coaching non-ICT teams with Agile ways of working
